How are the Yankees holding on?

Twoof their best hitters have been hurt, and terrible when healthy: Bird and Sanchez.

Twoofteir best all-around position players have been hurt: Judge and Didi.

Their closer - the best in the business- hurt, may be out for the season: Chapman.

Their best pitcher has been awful for two months now: Severino.

Left fielder has stopped hitting: Gardner.

Not to mention some terrible base-running and fielding.

Home field advantage for the wild card game is in jeopardy -but how are they even still in the lead?

The answer - amazing seasons by two rookies : Andujar and Torres, and an excellent season by an established star: Stanton - great pitching by and an unsung hero: Hicks;  Tanaka,  Happ and Dellin - Voit, Lynn,Robertson,Holder, Green, Walker, Romine have each contributed as well.
